Cisco?EUR(TM)s Packet Tracer Best Choice For CCNA

I have been designing training labs using Cisco's Packet Tracer for over a year, and I have found it to be a superior routing and switching simulator for CCNA students. Beyond the obvious advantages of portability, taking very little space, low power consumption, and generating no heat this simulator has a number of other powerful features for students and instructors alike. These features include the activity wizard, a simulation mode, and a multiuser mode. Let's take a closer look at these additional features.

Activity Wizard:
This feature allows the lab creator to create standalone labs with built in instructions and lab testing, making Packet Tracer not only an excellent routing and switching simulator but also an outstanding Training tool and testing engine. The following are some of the capabilities of this training tool:

Simulation Mode:
This feature permits the student to select different types of traffic, and view the packets as they transvers the network from device to device. This provides a tool similar to WireShark and is an excellent way to demonstrate how packets move through a network.

Multiuser Mode:
This is an assume feature, it permits the instructor and students to link their individual labs on their computer together creating one large network. The instructor and students can then send different types of traffic between their labs. The possibilities of this feature are incredible for a classroom training session. Although I have not tried it I am sure that this could be done through the Internet as well creating endless possibilities for an online training course.

In conclusion Packet Tracer may not have all the advanced BGP command available in simulators such as GNS3, but it does have excellent level 3 switching support that is not available from the competition, and while real hardware can provide all of this, real hardware has none of the features described above so Packet Tracer is not only an outstanding routing and switching simulator to model your network, but is by far the superior choice for CCNA students and trainers trainers and students alike.

Generic Cheap Cartridges: The Smart Choice For Printing Demands

It's amazing how cheap printers are nowadays. A few years ago, to get a printer you needed to shell out a huge amount. Everything changes, though. In today's world, you can get a printer for pennies. They're only getting cheaper, too. A lot of printers are shifting to the 3-in-1 model where you get a printer, fax machine, and copy machine all in one. Printers are selling cheap because the big money is in ink cartridges. Sadly, what you thought was a $50 printer will wind up costing you thousands. Once you start buying printer ink, the manufacturers know they have a loyal customer.

If you want to be free from the brand ink companies, generic ink might offer you a low cost solution. Imagine, you can save up to 80% when you buy generic cheap cartridges. What's more, this ink is proven to be high quality. All in all, generic is a great buy. If you do your homework and learn about each generic ink brand, you'll be able to get a great deal on high quality cheap cartridges.

To save even more money, you could get a ink refill kit. You can do it one of two ways. If you're willing to modify your printer, you can use the continuous ink system. This is great for large volume print jobs. Then you'll just connect the larger tanks to the ink cartridges in your printer. Alternatively, you can have your ink cartridges refilled in a store. You can probably find one of these stores in your neighborhood. In all reality, though, you'll likely wind up paying as much to have it refilled as you'd pay for a new generic cartridge.

The generic cheap cartridges are here to stay because you will save a lot of money both in the short and long term. Just one thing: if you're printing pictures, you might be better off with pigment based inks. Brand name cartridges are, indeed, pigment based but, if you won't be printing pictures, you're paying too much for a luxury you don't need.

Discount ink cartridges are readily available in most areas around the country. Every day, more and more consumers are beginning to realize that this is the solution for them. It's true that generic cartridges were sloppy, unreliable, and very messy as recently as the early 2000's. For many, refill kits were considered a great option. Unfortunately, they can make a mess if you are not careful. When they first came out, a lot of people didn't use refill kits. After all, why use something that's incredibly difficult to use? As generic cartridges began to catch on, brand name manufacturers decided to use technology to eliminate their competition. Now, a printer 'communicates' with an ink cartridge through a microchip. If the microchip doesn't work or isn't built in, the printer won't function properly.
