LG Nexus 4 sneaks up in Carphone Warehouse inventory

The LG Nexus 4 has reportedly appeared in The Carphone Warehouse's inventory system, with both black and white models listed

A screenshot of the listing was sent to consumer tech website The Verge, who spotted a device named the 'LG Nexus 4' which the system says will be available in two different colours - black and white. If genuine, the device would be the fourth entry into the Nexus range of smartphones and, according to further rumours, will be heavily based on the Optimus G - although an official release date is yet to be announced.

A series of recently leaked images have also suggested that the next LG Nexus will feature a solid 4.7-inch screen with a 1280 x 768 resolution and a 1.5Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. The device will also purportedly come equipped with Google's Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software which, itself, comes loaded with several nifty features.

Lord Sugar scoops T3 Award: Outstanding Contribution to Tech

Lord Sugar is to be honoured at the T3 Gadget Awards 2012 for his outstanding contribution to technology.

The former Amstrad boss and The Apprentice star, who returned to consumer tech this year with the successful  launch of digital TV service YouView, has innovated in various tech fields over his career, including audio, personal computing, telecoms and television.

Sugar built the satellite dishes and receiver boxes that helped Rupert Murdoch launch Sky, the latter eventually buying Amstrad for £125 million in 2007.

"I have been fortunate enough to receive a few honours and awards over the years, but this one is special and I am proud to accept it," Lord Sugar said.

"When I look back at my career achievements since starting Amstrad in 1967 – from making hi-fi units, computers and the first Sky satellite dishes, to bringing YouView to market this year – the one thing that has kept me motivated is that I am a real tech geek at heart.

"Since I was a child, I've always wanted to crack something open, get my hands in there and understand how it works, be it a stereo, computer processor or a set-top box. I'd like to thank T3and the award judges for recognising the contribution I have made to the industry."

T3 editor Luke Peters added: "Lord Sugar is one of the great names in British technology. Courageous and entrepreneurial in everything he has ever done, we are honoured that he has accepted this award."

Lord Sugar will be presented with his 'Outstanding Contribution to Technology' award by Sir Charles Dunstone, the co-founder of The Carphone Warehouse.

The T3 Gadget Awards 2012 will be held at Old Billingsgate in London on October 8, hosted by Absolute Radio breakfast presenter Christian O'Connell. For the full shortlist, visit awards.t3.com

Discount Printer Ink At Exceptional Quality For The Average Consumer

Home printers have seen explosive growth since their development. The increased capabilities of modern printers to create breathtaking photos in the comfort of one's home and the rapidly dropping price of the average printer has compelled even the most thrifty shoppers to make the plunge into the world of home printing. Amazingly, these same developments have allowed anyone with a printer to start their own businesses ranging in industry from photography to book publishing. With the level of quality that most home printers offer, any creative entrepreneur can finally take their place in the world of finance.

The rise in printer quality and the steep drop in costs have given amateur photographers the ability to establish their own digital "darkrooms" in the comfort of their own homes. While this is bad news for the developers of 35mm cameras, most camera manufacturers have switched to digital to keep up with the times. It seems that everyone has benefited financially from this transition to inexpensive, discount printer ink with high quality printers except for the average consumer. With the price of ink becoming more and more prohibitive, some businesses are being forced to make the decision between printer ink and a more effective advertising campaign.

Many printers offer scanning and fax capabilities in a 3-in-1 package. This is great news for many home and office users who demand a more versatile tool. As a result of their unique ability to amplify the efforts of any individual, most consumers are content with their machine. Easy to create, high quality results that once were the sole domain of professional printers are now available to anyone with a printer. Unfortunately, it comes at a cost that few are prepared to pay. Few realize that two refills can cost as much as the printer itself. All things considered, most feel that such a high recurring cost simply isn't worth it.

For those consumers tired of paying unreasonable prices each time they run out of ink, there is hope. With a little digging and a willingness to shop online, finding printer ink for as little as half one might pay in a typical retail store is simply a matter of clicking a link. The development of high quality generic printer ink has saved countless consumers millions of dollars, isn't it about time to get in on the savings? Simply visit an ISO-9001 certified generic discount printer ink provider and see what a difference it can make. The results will be no less than amazing. Just like brand ink, just about every generic discount printer ink cartridges manufacturer is unique but on some cartridges, it is possible to spot an X with the pretty end on the sequence. This means the cartridge is substantial yield. Which is just a technical technique to say that it is going to final lengthier than most ink cartridges?

Peachtree INK specialize in helping consumers to find high-quality printer ink cartridges at the most affordable rates. To find out more about on the subject of discount printer ink visit us at peachtreeink.com or email us at info@peachtreeink.com
