Cliff Bleszinski quits Epic Games

Cliff Bleszinski has resigned as Design Director at Epic Games, the studio behind the iconic Xbox 360 series Gears Of War

In a move sure to send shockwaves through the gaming industry, Cliff Bleszinski has announced his departure from Epic Games. As the studio's Design Director, Bleszinski presided over the multi-million unit-selling Xbox 360 shooter series, Gears Of War, and played an integral part in the evolution of Epic's lucrative Unreal gaming engine. His resignation marks the end of a 20 year stint at the studio.

Bleszinski posted on the Epic Games website, hinting that he's looking forward to taking some time off.

"I've been doing this since I was a teenager, and outside of my sabbatical last year, I have been going non-stop. I literally grew up in this business, as Mike likes to say. And now that I'm grown up, it's time for a much needed break," he wrote.

"I will miss the projects, the playtests, the debates, and most importantly, the people. Epic only hires the best of the best, and it has been a joy working with each and every one of you on a daily basis, whether you were hired weeks ago or decades ago," he added. "I have been fortunate enough to collaborate with a variety of disciplines, from code to art to marketing and PR - it's been one big, rewarding learning experience. I'm confident that each project that is being built, whether at Epic, Chair, PCF, or Impossible will be top notch and will please gamers and critics alike."

There's no word yet on what Bleszinski's next move will be, nor who is set to replace him at Epic.

Microsoft LifeCam Studio 1080p HD Webcam: Pictures tell stories!

Pictures do tell stories. They have done that from the most ancient times when people tried to scratch cave’s walls in order to tell something about someone or just something else (like phenomena, for instance). Nowadays, we don’t scratch walls anymore; we post on Facebook, Twitter or YouTube. And that is why a webcam has become a useful tool of communication. The criteria in choosing one are mostly the following: autofocus, HD resolution, good sound and the list stops pretty much here.

The thing is it could all be reduced at HD sound and image, so an HD webcam. Such an example is the Microsoft LifeCam Studio 1080p HD Webcam, follow closely the article and see if this product is a match for your needs.

The Microsoft LifeCam Studio 1080p HD Webcam delivers the type of image that could be better described in numbers than words: 1080 lines (each with 1920 pixels) and 16:9 aspect ratio. The high precision lens provides very good optics and the autofocus refines the image until it becomes perfect. The ClearFrame Technology helps you get the kind of picture you want even in bad lighting conditions, where as the integrated microphone delivers a rich and natural sound.

Microsoft LifeCam Studio 1080p

The performance that the Microsoft LifeCam Studio 1080p HD Webcam can reach are not at all to neglect. Aside from the very nice quality image and good sound that this HD camera can provide, there one more practical thing to consider: it is encased in an aluminum body and gives it a big plus in the eyes of a clumsy person.

Should you get it? Yes, if you are keen on travelling, as well as recording or sharing the things you have seen or visited, if you are in the need of video conference tools (this one could be appropriated), if you like to post images and videos on social networks (such as Facebook, Twitter or others of this kind) and the list continues.

Microsoft LifeCam Studio 1080p: professional looking

The price of the Microsoft LifeCam Studio 1080p HD Webcam is listed at almost 57 US dollars. Is this the best HD webcam? It is one of the best, but I would not award it with this particular title, because the competition kept working and released products maybe a little bit better, but its strong point is endurance to frequent use (because of the aluminum shell). Is it a good purchase? I would call it a decent one if you’re looking for a HD webcam.
