Cloud computing certifications currently available focus on vendor-specific technologies and architectures, but there has been demand from the industry for an entry-level cloud computing credential that focuses on the fundamental knowledge of cloud computing principles and concepts, said Rick Bauer, director of research and development for skills certification at CompTIA N10-004 exam.CompTIA and ITpreneurs have partnered to release a new credential focused on cloud computing skills and best practices. The Cloud Essentials exam will be available through CompTIA in December.CompTIA N10-004 exam Network+ was also recently added as a technical prerequisite option for IT technicians seeking to join the Apple Consultants Network, a collection of independent professional service providers and technology consulting firms that deliver on-site technology services and support to home users and businesses.Complete exam objectives for the updated CompTIA Network+ certification are available on the CompTIA certification web site. The existing CompTIA Network+ exam (N10-004) remains available until August 31, 2012 for those who are training or studying toward that exam.
It's not required, but CompTIA N10-004 exam suggests exam-takers have at least six months of real-world experience in an IT organization, whether it's in an internal department or external service provider. In other words, this is aimed at those IT pros who've actually worked in the field, not those fresh out of school.CompTIA has been making a lot of waves around cloud adoption, pushing service providers to get into the market. And now it seems that the association is ready to put its name behind the cloud services channel.
